Visor is a magnifier application designed to assist individuals with visual impairments by transforming their iOS or Android devices into digital magnifying glasses. Utilizing the device's built-in camera, Visor offers magnification levels ranging from 2x to 8x, enabling users to enlarge and enhance printed text for easier reading. The app provides five distinct color contrast modes—full color, black on white, white on black, yellow on blue, and blue on yellow—to cater to various visual preferences and needs. For low-light conditions, users can activate the device's LED flash directly through the app. Additional features include manual and autofocus capabilities, image freeze for detailed examination, and compatibility with VoiceOver for improved accessibility. VisorApp also supports AirPlay Mirroring, allowing users to project the magnified content onto larger screens via AppleTV. Developed in Leipzig, Germany, Visor is available for download on the App Store and Google Play Store. To enhance the user experience, a dedicated smartphone stand is offered, facilitating hands-free reading and providing a stable spacer between the device and reading material.
